- I see these methods, scripts and all sorts of applications which all try to accomplish the goal of gaining serial numbers which are the backbone to any SE.
- But the problem is, while most of these software's and whatnot, normally achieve the job, it appears that the Serial numbers are out of warranty, or even worse - invalid...
- Today, I will try and teach you how to get serial numbers, now mind you - I'm no expert in SE'ing, but I sure do hell of a lot of screenshots including serial numbers for random products xD.
1. The first thing you should look at is eBay. I know i know, a common cliche, but in some cases it's pretty useful. There might be a chance that the listings' pic actually includes a Serial Number on the product's box/packaging, in some cases you will even find the serial number written on the product itself, like AMD CPUs for example which literally include the serial AND Model Part Number on their CPUs.
2. Of course, eBay doesn't really help so try to go to YouTube. If I want to find the serial number of say a keyboard, or a gaming chair, normally I search up unboxing videos which depict youtubers opening the packaging of their bought products and not knowingly, exposing the contents that us SE'Rs came for. For example, if Im trying to SE a Gaming Mouse. Normally, I will be able to catch the S/N of the mouse as the youtuber flips the mouse upside down, clearly exposing the contents. Pretty useful, I pretty much always find serial numbers that way for most products.
3. If you really are contributed, you could try to locate the S/N physically by going to a retailor in-store to pull of a sneaky move of getting the S/N of the product you need. S/Ns of some products are located in very odd places which are hard to if not impossible to catch on a digital screen, I like this method a lot because you can find anything you want. For example, if I go to curry's PC World (UK retailer), I can easily go in and get to play on one of their gaming laptops for sale, I simply go to About Your PC, and there we go. I already found the details, just make sure to be low profile, and try to be fast when intercepting that Serial Number, some places will have more security than others...
Hope you have enjoyed my mini tutorial. And GOOD LUCK!
