Hello everyone. I have never seen anyone else discuss this topic on this website.
I am pretty well invested into custom mechanical keyboards, the problem is, this is a very expensive hobby.
If you want to build a keyboard from scratch, it will cost you at least about $200 USD for a basic one.
Some popular streamers have keyboards worth hundreds or 1k+ dollars. Insane, right?
Some people make and sell custom artisan keycaps for $50 a KEY, one keycap!
The best place for keyboard parts is from China sellers like BangGood or Aliexpress,
and some more expensive good parts from Etsy,
However, I have never found anyone on this forum with the knowledge/.service of refunding these sites. I've asked many sellers.
My current solution is refunding keyboards bought from Walmart or BestBuy and desoldering them for a few good parts.
Any other mech fans out there, or people able to refund Aliexpress, alibaba, BangGood or Etsy?
