I feel like it depends on the person. I have both because some of my classes require Dropbox and others require google drive.

I believe that Google has good storage capacity and reliable than dropbox however both are good.

Dropbox was OG but definitely degraded over the years. I've made 3 accounts on Dropbox but they all filled up on space very quickly.
(Also, a close friend of mine used to work for them and let's just say their staff aren't the sharpest programmers)
