How much bandwidth consumes using a VPS?

Hi! i have a dumb question. I live in a country with really bad internet service. I was wondering how much bandwidth consumes using a VPS? as much as a stream? i would use the VPS for normal internet use, watch netflix and things like that. i'm open for different solutions too.

i think its the same with and without its just its get redirected between servers so it takes more time
