Here’s a simple guide to boiling eggs perfectly:

Ingredients:
  • Eggs (as many as you need)
  • Water
  • Optional: Salt or vinegar (to make peeling easier)

Steps:1. Prepare the Pot:
  • Place the eggs in a single layer in a pot.
  • Add enough cold water to cover the eggs by about 1 inch (2.5 cm).
2. Heat the Water:
  • Place the pot on the stove over medium-high heat.
  • Bring the water to a rolling boil.
3. Start Timing:
  • Once the water is boiling, cover the pot and turn off the heat (for stovetops that retain heat well) or reduce it to a low simmer.
  • Set a timer based on how you like your eggs:
    • Soft-boiled: 4–6 minutes
    • Medium-boiled: 7–9 minutes
    • Hard-boiled: 10–12 minutes
4. Cool the Eggs:
  • When the timer goes off, immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water or run them under cold water.
  • Let them cool for at least 5 minutes to stop cooking and make peeling easier.
5. Peel (Optional):
  • Tap the egg gently on a hard surface to crack the shell.
  • Roll the egg lightly to loosen the shell, then peel it off under running water if needed.
This leak has been rated as working 1 times this month. (1 times in total)
