I love Neill Blomkamp’s movies and friends think I’m crazy

Some of my favorite movies I find myself rewatching are Chappie, District 9 and Elysium. My friends and other people tell me they’re the worst movies ever. I don’t care though. Movies like that just intrigue me in some way I can’t explain. Yeah they don’t make sense and may have dumb moments but I just love the style and the aesthetic of it all. Anyone else like movies with that style? I don’t even know what to call those types of movies
