New here but not to the SE scene, was a member on SE.net and had VIP, not sure if anyone knows that site from here got shut down but oh well, here's my method.

Difficulty: Very Easy
Boxing: Not required
Serial: Required
Photos: Not required.
Go and find a serial, any way that you can. Im not sure if they register serials or they just accept any one that comes to them. Any from ebay, gumtree, craigslist etc.
Call them up and say that its not working - say no light while charging. Dont go with an elaborate excuse or theyll want it back
Theyll ask for the serial and then give it. Theyll then offer to send you a charger so that you can use a different one.
Sometimes you can convince them to send out the replacement as your "going away", if not just accept the charger and then contact them in a few days when you get it saying that it didnt work
Voila.
Extra: They will only send out the unit pax device itself but you can act pissed off and get all the added extras.
