You don't quite understand the point! 
Souls are not increasing, they are one and the same. They just get switched from one body to another after death.
Even though Population increases every minute, ultimately, it all evens out by the fact that all people do NOT live and die the same duration. 
Soul is a constant phenomena unlike life and death of a body, which is a variable!

Not really sure.  The science points in the direction that when you die, nothing of you continues.  You never know what we might discover though.  There's so much that we don't understand, it seems kind of ignorant to entirely dismiss the possibility of an afterlife.
