Its obvious I know but World of Warcraft. The new expansion is coming out next month, so you have some time to get used to the game before it launches. Battle for azeroth was horrible, maybe Shadowlands will be great.

Wow is great. I played through most of BfA and enjoyed it well enough. What didn't you like about it?

The class-design is at its worst compared to previous expansions (pruned talents were not replaced by something else). The RNG when it comes to gearing is absolutely horrendous, systems on top of systems broke everything until the last 3rd of the expac, corruption implementation was a shitshow, timegating everywhere, arenas were never this broken, free gladiator for everyone, no new talents (essences are boring), forced to play mythic + which is, for me, the most tedious content in the game, warfronts were hyped to the moon and were a huge letdown, horrible new battleground, some classes had significant advantages in various parts of the game (demon hunters in m+/ visions), corruption vendor coming way too late and when it arrived it was a rotation (more rng). Raids and leveling were fun though.

Ah I see what you're saying. I mostly stuck to solo content and LFG/LFR to experience the story. But I can definitely see a lot of the problems you mentioned, and that makes me glad I didn't go deeper in those areas. Keeping my fingers crossed that Shadowlands will be better!
Friends who I play with in FFXIV who recently stopped playingf WoW mostly stopped because of the community of that game. And the RNG for end-game loot is far worse compared to FFXIV (which already is horrendous imo).

Yeah, I've long since stopped playing for the endgame grind. I just play for the story these days. Much happier that way.
