I am still shocked that many Users are using VPNs which are completly useless because they log everything.
Customers of such VPNs could just use their real IPs for their shady activities, because the VPN Company will forward any information/logs to the authorities anyways.

Of course, most of them are a bit more expensive than the 3$ HQ MOTHERFUCKER PLAN form NordVPN, but  you should consider that  a VPN is one of the most important parts of your OPSec.

Since we are on the topic of VPNs - Phantom VPN is giving away 3 month free trials (usually $12.99/mo) in connection to their parent company Avira Antivirus's Prime Security Software Package. Here is a link for those interested: https://www.avira.com/en/download-trial/product/1955 (I am not in any way affiliated with them, I just came across the free trial, tried it out and would have loved to have known about this offer when I was exploring changing my VPN a couple years back. Their interface is great, they have servers in most countries around the world, all around solid VPN. I am not aware of any tests of their no log policy but they do at least claim to not keep any logs at all.)


On-topic: Thanks for putting this together, OpSec is way too often looked over or the importance of it is underestimated.

Also @ r0cky - Phantom VPN is almost just like ExpressVPN in the way of userface and just operationally .. it reminds me of Express/PIA interface and has servers in at least as many countries as PIA, just make sure you have 'Show Geo-located Regions' in settings selected. PIA is what I personally used, but since their no log policies hasn't been tested since they were acquired by that bigger company last year I wouldn't recommend them just to be safe. They should be safe though, I believe that enough to use them personally
