Introduction

Hello Cracked, today I will walk you through how you can browse the Deep Web safely & anonymously.

Using Windows OS

If you are using Windows like most people, That a very bad idea. Why? because Windows is a very vulnerable operating system & I would not recommend anyone to use it as a client to the Deep Web unless of course, you want your personal information ending up on the internet. If you really want to use Windows and cannot be bothered to use a different OS, My best advice is to install windows on a virtual machine & use it this way. However, VirtualBox and VMWare are some good options for VMs. VirtualBox is free while VMWare is paid. I personally had no issues with VirtualBox but if you are willing to spend some money on a good VM (You can use the VM for other purposes like pen testing, malware dev etc), I would recommend going with VMWare since it is far more secure than VirtualBox. Remember, Just because your running on a VM, that doesn't make you safe. The VM is running on your PC and it is connected to the same network. There are many viruses that easily bypass the VM's bridge and infect your PC.

Using Qubes OS

Simply, Qubes OS is a Linux distro specially focused on anonymity. Qubes is vouch by many security experts and by Edward Snowden. This is the OS I would recommend anyone to use when browsing the deep web since it far more secure than windows being a Linux distro and, it is 100% free. You can install Qubes OS on a VM very easily. However, one con would be the download size, which is close to 5GB.

Using Tails OS

Tails OS is very similar to Qubes, however, Tails OS is more focused on being a temporary operating system than a permanent OS. Tails OS is a "Live Operating System" meaning, Once you have used Tails OS on a VM or USB and shut down, It wipes the entire drive that it is installed on. This leaves a "Zero" footprint once you're done with whatever you're doing. Further, Tails OS uses state of the art cryptographic tools to encrypt emails and instant messaging.

Installing TOR Network

What is Tor? It is a browser that allows you to connect to the Deep Web using relays. Tor stands for "The Onion Router" which is similar to how the Deep Web is structured in layers.

Once you have downloaded and installed Tor, Open the Tor browser. and boom! You can now securely access the deep web. A few things to remember while browsing, Never maximize the browser windows. Why? hackers can use the information like your monitor size etc to their advantage and may try to exploit your PC. Always cover your webcam with tape or if you're on a PC disconnect the webcam before browsing. Finally, go the search bar and type "thehiddenwiki", The Hidden Wiki is a site which indexes all popular deep web links. This way you can start your deep web exploration pretty easily. I will be updating this guide as time goes on. If you have any issues please feel free to contact me. Thank you.
