 My mother always supported my dreams like when wanted to be a fighter since I was a kid. She drove me to my first fight gym when I was 14, and I was so nervous asf but she walked in with me and helped me settle in. So I trained every day and learned kickboxing, bjj and wrestling. When I competed in my 1st tournaments, my mother was my biggest fan and she cheered for you at every match after that. She also helped me with my diet and started making healthy meals for me. Years later, I got an opportunity to fight in a professional MMA fight. I was going up against a really egotistical opponent and he would just shit-talk me but he was extremely talented. I was doubtful that I could win but I was prepared to work hard. She gave me a pep talk before the match, and she told me that she was proud of me and believed I would win and that she could tell I was nervous. The fight was intense and close. I hit a mad combination onto my opponent, and I expected to knock him out but the next second I got hit by a right uppercut and I was knocked out. I woke up, stood up beside the ref and saw my opponent's hand raised. I felt defeated. I looked at my mother, she was worried with a few tears. When I went to ER and all my teammates and coaches had left, my mother was the only one there till the end and she stayed there and made sure I was okay. My mother then told me that I didn’t need to win, and she was still proud of me ,that I could take the next win, and that she would always be my biggest fan even if I lost all my fights. I realised that day who the most important person in your life is… It’s your mother, your father might be an asshole sometimes, but your mother will always love you no matter what. Keep her close because you don’t know what might happen tomorrow.
