Well it's not necessary because we can see the progress already in our profiles, but seeing that the 1k posts' achievement is there, why not add the threads' achievement.
And more Threads are harder to spam than posts, so if it's gonna be there, the threads should be there instead of the posts.

Posts can be spammed, but threads aren't likely to be spammed. Although some do spam threads, they are quickly reported and/or deleted.
