Unsure on where to post this, so I decided I should post this here.

The launch for Nvidia's big graphic cards, such as the RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090, the demand for the gpu's were very high, if not extremely high. Stock levels are scarce and not many orders are being fulfilled from Nvidia and Third-party sellers which means customers are completely unsatisfied. They are unable to receive, or even purchase, their new graphic cards to upgrade their rig or build a new rig.

Since there will be more upcoming launches, such as AMD's 5000 series CPU's and, of course, their Big Navi GPU's, do you guys reckon the stock will also be scarce or is it just a marketing technique employed to get more customers in-line and make more money? Do you think people are better off waiting for a couple months to purchase these GPU's and such, rather than waiting now to purchase it?

In addition, would you guys recommend getting getting a RTX 3070 or a RX 6800? I'm thinking of upgrading my rig but it's looking kind of impossible right now, especially since the newer RTX Series gpu's are pretty much sold out everywhere, or that pre-order's are taking longer to fulfil.

Nvidia is the leader in the GPU market, it's a sure bet. On the other hand, we have AMD Radeon that made huge improvements.
I can advise you to wait a bit and look for benchmarks of these new RX GPU to have more information about temperatures, noises (if you care about it), and also the compatibility (Intel/AMD, AMD/AMD) to compare with Nvidia.
Some combination may have more rentability.

There is no good answer to this right now, the choice is all yours.
