To use put it in a amazon account that is old. If its new its going to get denied. Put card in same spot as credit/debit card.. Dont use on main account. Do not use right away . wait a couple of days. Last do not buy a big purchase by a small purchase and slowly increase it like first purchase is 8 dollars and than wait 24-48 hours before you make another purchase.
