I feel like "rules-light" and "narrative" are the current thing in RPG design. I understand why that is and I do enjoy them, but one of the reasons I enjoy playing D&D 5e (hot take on this subreddit, I know) is its "gamist" nature, with a number of rules and options that interact with each other, resulting in an interweaving web with high "buildability" of character creation and playing.
So, are there any "gamist" indie/smaller RPGs?
Bonus points if genre-generic or genre-independent
