im tryna get more into this too but from what i know it seems like using tails + a private browser would be ur best bet

TOR browser, but most of the time it's the human error that's the weakest link and not the technology that you're using. (Brave is also good)
For OS look for QubesOS, TailsOS or Whonix (Even though I personally think Ubuntu is more than enough, but I dunno what you're planning to do).
