I started programming near the beggining middle school. I mainly do mobile app development now, and I wanted to get more people into it. Here are important steps to take
to become an app dev.

1. Select OS/Programming Language
Nowadays there are two main OS's: Andriod and IOS
If you want to make apps for the andriod platform, you will need to learn Java
If you want to make apps for the IOS platform, Swift is rapidly becoming a popular option for IOS Devs.
To learn Java, you can take the beginner udacity course and by looking at books and other tutorials.
To learn Swift, I recommend going to the official docs made by apple
2. Start
After you have a foundation with Swift and Java you can go head first into making apps
This is the approach I took while in high school, getting my feet wet.
Reading docs and finding people to help you along the way can really help you start getting on your feet.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, Google is your friend, and I searched up things when I didn't know how to do it.
PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! Setting goals for making apps also apps, and if you have an idea go for it.
Thanks for reading, give a like if it was helpful.
