My suggestion is that yall implement Sass (see here) compatibility for Custom CSS.
Why I suggest this is because:
1. It allows storing variables in CSS as Pure CSS can be quite messy and hard to read.
2. lots more creativity As it can do things that could be unimaginable with Pure CSS.
3. Lots more frameworks to build from
