Do it securely means e.g. via a RDP. When you start, you should also bring some capital (200€) to start it reasonably, and even then it is not guaranteed that you will get infections.

$50/day on avg. $120-140 on good days with 300+ slaves (this was 2yrs ago mining XMR mostly). A pain in the mthrFkin ass to keep it up and alive. Use vps, a paid miner. good crypts and a solid spread method..you need 100+ for it to be worthwhile. Miners are stupidly obvious to end users so they have short lifespan and your vps will get flagged a lot.
Conclusion...do-able but pain in the ass.
