I wouldn't completely trust Epic Browser. I did a lot of research when I was looking for de-Googled Chromium based browsers, and I read just too many bad things about Epic Browser.

Here is a few things you should read before you decide to use Epic Browser:

https://restoreprivacy.com/secure-browser/ (They list Epic Browser as NOT recommended)

https://www.reddit.com/r/VPN/comments/b2...ay/ejkhu47

Honestly, Epic Browser seems like a shady data mining operation.

I would say that Firefox is still the best browser for privacy when configured properly. When I really need to use a Chromium-based browser, I use Brave with BAT Rewards disabled.
Plus, there is no reason to use Epic Browser's built-in proxy (which also has a questionable privacy policy) when you can just use VPN or TOR browser.

I used Pale Moon in the past but went back to Firefox because of add-on support. With the right configs, add-ons and a good firewall between the browser and the internet, you can't go wrong with Firefox.
