Rockstar unfortunately is following the same path as EA Games, they never said it would be a Remake, and I never raised expectations about it, I was disappointed with the GTA V "Expanded and Improved" and I was taken aback when they announced this "The Definitive Edition" ", I never created expectations, but a Trilogy like this one did deserve something well done.
Mafia is a smaller franchise compared to GTA, yet they remade Mafia 1 from scratch and delivered something that exceeded fans' expectations.
Rockstar just ported the map to Unreal and threw a lot of reflex and ENB (I've seen better Remasters), pow, look at this Tommy here, looks like a doll, looks like Ken from Toy Story:
Look at this San Andreas Police Helicopter that appeared on the Trailer, a detail so simple that they could include: Pilots, but didn't.:
The Protagonists and Pedestrian Animations are the same as the originals, there is no Ragdoll, nothing, this is clearly visible in the trailer, in the GTA III part:
I can't forget that the "Remaster" was actually made by Grove Street Games (Former War Drum Studios), responsible for the Mobile ports, although they said that the Remaster was in the hands of Rockstar Dundee
It looked like a mix of The Sims and Fortnite... now it makes sense to remove the originals from the stores...
It won't be long before some Hacker group leaks Source Code and everything else from the Classic GTAs, just like they did with EA Games, Ubisoft, Nintendo, CD Red Projekt, it's just a matter of time.
The Modders that Rockstar and Take-Two try to take down at all ways do a better job for FREE...
