Game that takes place in a setting that's already doomed

I just love the angst that comes from the feeling of knowing that there's no actual hope for things to get any better, and that the ending to the world's story has already been written. And it can't just be the players that are doomed, I want the whole world to be coming to an end.

Some examples of such a setting: The World of Darkness, Shadow of the Demon Lord, any RPG that takes place in any of the Warhammer settings and 'The End of the World(That's literally its name)'.
