what tools & methods are used ?

well they're not necessarily 'stolen'

most of the 'cracked accounts' have simply been checked and the info had already been collected and then sold on to the person who checked the accounts and then distributed them

some get free rats off of github and expect people to turn off anti av
others buy zero day exploits or search for vulnerabilities themselves to evade av, they still might use free github rats
Some people build their own hacking tools from the ground up

In general for someone with your level of experience it's not great idea to jump into this yet as it's unlikely you would be able to effectively cover your tracks to a good enough level to stay ahead of you being put in a cupboard for a year

Most of them are from dumped databases or from spamming
