I know many times you guys get stuck in a place where you need to crack the SQL hashes. I myself have been in such a situation.
So here in this guide, I am writing about how you crack them. It's not gonna be like enter the hash and get the password, but yeah you will come to know about the basics and then be able to crack them.
Q. How does SQL Server store passwords?
Q What does an SQL password hash look like?
Q What can we derive from pwdencrypt() about the hash?
Well, I guess you might have learned a lot now. It took me hours to write this. So a like is important.
One last note: Although you could use any other software to crack it but if you want then I could provide you with source code of one great application. If you write your own then don't use CryptoAPI, it will make your code paster.
