The hacker group MASSGRAVE has announced the development of a new method to bypass the Microsoft Windows and Office software licensing system. According to them, the technology allows you to permanently activate almost any version of Windows and Office, including server versions, corporate CSVLK (Customer Specific Volume License Keys) and Extended Security Updates (ESU).

The peculiarity of the method is its simplicity. The hackers claim that the new technology does not require installing third-party files, changing system data or interfering with the operating system, which makes the process completely “clean” and as convenient as possible for users. On their resources, they published screenshots of activated versions of Windows with ESU, confirming their statements. For example, the corresponding image is available in their post .

Supported versions include Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10, Windows 11, as well as various server versions and their additional features. It is important to note that the method covers Extended Security Updates for Windows 10, which will be in effect from October 2025, extending support for legacy systems.

Previously, activation methods such as HWID (Hardware ID) and KMS (Key Management Service) were used for temporary activation. HWID has been used since 2018, and KMS for over 17 years. However, they could not provide permanent activation of all versions. The new method, according to the developers, eliminates these limitations and significantly expands the capabilities.

The hackers announced that their tool will be released to the public in the coming months. If their statements are true, Microsoft will face a serious threat to its licensing system. It is not yet known what countermeasures the company will take, but this situation may become a challenge for the future software licensing policy.
