How Do i Upload banners to my signature?

Hi, I wanted to ask, how do I add a banner (animated gif) to my signature?
I keep trying but it ends up as code and not showing the actual banner.

go to imgur or imgbband upload it on their service. Then copy the image link adress. It will end with .png .jpg or .gif
This kind of links can be used combined with the img bbcode to create a working banner on your signature or on your threads.
