I have made some gifs and I don't know how to put them in the posts

when I drag it from my desktop to the browser it gives me the link but not the video

someone help me?

My roommates dead to the world right now and he’s WAAAY more familiar with this website than me but I’m commenting to bump. Maybe I’ll have an answer tomorrow from him.
