Whenever someone uploads a proxy list, I have no idea what to do with it. Can I change my proxy to one of those for anonymity or faster speeds? Do they even offer faster speeds?

Proxies are loaded into cracking tools to spread logins or other requests among many IPs so that the service being cracked doesn't notice the bruteforce attack or it takes more time to ban all of the IPs. They can also be used for anonimity, view botting or performing any other bot activity.
