Primo Ramdisk, A Powerful Disk Emulator to Create Ultra-Fast RAM-Disks

  • Ultra-Fast Access, Ultra-Low Latency
RAM-Disks are created out of the system memory. All read and write requests to RAM-disks are processed in memory, resulting in a huge improvement in overall performance with ultra-fast speed and ultra-low latency.
  • Dynamic Memory Management
An effective and efficient way to utilize system memory for RAM-disks, dynamically acquiring and releasing system memory based on real needs, instead of monopolizing disk-size memory in the system.
  • Superior Imaging Functions
Capable of rapidly imaging the RAM-disk contents to a persistent file and restoring contents when needed. In this way RAM-disks perform like persistent storage and retain contents across computer restarts,
even though the system memory is volatile. Various imaging functions and options are offered.
  • Built-in File Systems
FAT, FAT32, exFAT and NTFS file systems are built-in, thus RAM-disks can be formatted and ready to use at very early stage during the computer boot, without the need of format scripts or imaging files.
  • Overcome Windows Memory Limits
Able to recognize the system's invisible memory and use it for RAM-disks, overcoming the Windows memory limits, especially the 4GB issue in 32-bit Windows, while allowing all installed physical memory to be fully utilized.

Time for TEST:  Here is a speeding test between my "WD Black 1TB Caviar" HDD and newly created "RAMDisk" using this application

CONs:
  • However, there’s a problem here. RAM is volatile memory. When your computer loses power, the contents of your RAM will be erased so you’d also have to save the contents of your RAM disk to disk when you shut down your computer and load them when you turn it on. When you turn on your computer, the RAM disk program would have to read the RAM disk image from your hard drive and load it back into RAM. In other words, you’re simply getting faster program-load times at the expense of longer boot-up times

Please don't be a leecher and Leave a like for this work
