Member of the Month: A blessing or a curse?

Member of the Month began in December 2019. It is a contest where members get to vote who they think are the most HQ member of a certain month. We only had 2 winners since: @ForlaxPy and @MeSvAk .. but there have been interesting things that happened since then

Since @ForlaxPy becoming the first MOTM, he's done many good things and many great things has happened to him. Mostly notably becoming a Moderator

The second MOTM, @MeSvAk, has done many great things too, but unfortunately hes now become "Banned member for a Month"..!

Another certain member was banned for the same reason as Mesvak, and this member was highly possible to become the next MOTM..

With all of this evidence, I can say MOTM can either cause you to be banned or cause you to do very well...it's like a upward push or downward.. there is no in-between.

With @AncientSlave most likely going to become the 3rd MOTM...how will things happen for him? I will update this thread after that!

Ok. Personally I will tell you now that if this article is always updated, this thread deserves to be moved in Important Threads [MOTM].
The author presents very good facts and argues about ups and downs. I think this is an opportunity to analyze their progress, to give other future members good tips for better work. However, let's remember about these negative behaviors every month, because they can automatically cross us out of the chance to get this prestigious award.
