Yesterday I was hanging out with my friend who I knew had depression and I didnt know it was really bad until she told me she started cutting herself on her arm. I tried convincing her to go to a therapist but she always says "im fine" or "its not that bad" and I know it isnt true and I need serious advice about what I should do next because I'm a little worried. Im asking for peoples advice what I should do next to make her stop doing this and help her.

And to anyone who is currently going through major depression try talking to a friend or family member who you can trust or talk to a therapist.

Talk more with her and try to be more involved with what she does. If she doesn't want to turn to somebody else, you should try to make yourself her personal therapist or helper (might be a stretch). Try to get her motivated and go on some activities you think will be fun or interesting for her to do.

Depression is closely associated with nihilism, and if you can basically 'show' her how fun life can be, it'll be a huge help.

Theoretically of course. Might be a big burden for you.

If you want serious advice, then take your friend to a psychologist. If that doesn't help, then try giving him some CBD oils. Maybe it can relax him.
