[NEED HELP] iPhone X (ios 16.3) Cant activate it

Ok in the first place, i didn`t steal this phone, got it from a friend,
i can`t get to activate it or anything, im pretty sure someone tried something before me (the phone has an iphone 5 s/n xd)
Is there any possible way to bypass that taking into consideration that its not even activated or should i throw it?
