*All questions I want answered are in BOLD.
Why does it seem that nobody is interested in long-term commission based work?
I'm in the final stages of deploying an adult social media website. I've developed the entire front-end and need someone, a long-time partner, to work on and continuously maintain the backend (the chat itself + some database work). I've done some posting in various forums on the internet to try and find help. While I have gotten plenty of replies, people seem put off by me advertising the position as commission based. Why is this?
I don't see what there is to lose on their end. They have nothing to risk and everything to gain. I acquired an aged 17 year old adult domain that was a porn tube for its entirety. It already has traffic and domain authority, a lot of the heavy lifting has already been done. My offer is that they receive every bit of revenue up until a certain (reasonable) amount that they see fit, then it switches up and all funds go to me until I am out of the hole, then we do a complete 50-50 split thereafter. Furthermore, their half is never used to maintain the website (servers, hosting, cloudflare, renewals, etc.). Is this a fair deal? Or is this more so in their favor? If so, what would you suggest? This is my first time seeking outside help to create a profitable business, so I need help with understanding payroll.
All they would have to do is create a basic chat application (should take less than a week), and let me handle all the rest (front-end, marketing, purchasing traffic). They can literally sit back and do nothing while still making money. All I ask is that they monitor the server after the chat has been created to ensure everything is operating smoothly and update the code whenever neccessary.
