Operating System: Android-x86
This project ports the well-known Android developed by Google for use on the x86 platform. The goal was to make Android run on various netbooks, especially the Asus Eee PC. Initially named patch hosting for Android x86 support, the development team created various patches for the open source community to support Android on x86 systems. Over time, a homogeneous code base emerged and subsequently this Linux distribution that runs Android on Intel and AMD processor architecture.
The open source project is under the Apache Public License 2.0, some components are under the GNU General Public License (GPL) 2.0 or higher.
