Hey, so I am thinking about buying some PC hardware and build it myself, but I never understood how connections worked. What I mean is I never knew how to choose the right motherboard, processor, video card and so on in order to be able to connect all of them together. So what I am asking is this, I have a budget of 1k euros, and I want to build my PC.

The requirements I need to achieve are these:
1. It must have a intel CPU
2. It must be able to run Android Studio and Unity smoothly
3. I like to clear my mind playing some World of Warcraft between coding sessions so it must run that one too

I don't care about OS and storage at this moment as those I will get them myself after buying all other parts. Basically what I am asking is, what are the best parts I can get for 1k euros?

Thanks!

Hi,
It depend on what you want, but if you only want intel, you should look for i7 10700 or 9700 (not k if you don't want to overclock). For the motherboard, not much than 115€/$, after that price it's for option that you don't need (overclock, tweek in bios, wifi,...)(a wifi dongle is 10$/€, a wifi on board is much more).

For ram, it also depend on what you want/Use, but i think that 8go is not enough. 16 if perfect, 32 overkill for gaming, but can be good for unity/coding (i don't know on what you work, it's up to you to search if you can benefit from more ram).

for the case, you can use your budget on a 100/150€ case, but i don't understand why. IMO the case is at my feet, i don't see it and don't want to. A 50€/$ one is good enough.

And for the graphic card, WOW will run on a potato, you just need to know what you need for unity or your coding. But for your budget you should look for 2060 or maybe a resell 1080 at good price.

Alright, thank you very much for your reply! I think I will do just that, get an i7-10700 and a 2060. As for RAM and others, I can figure them out no problem.
