To simply Improve Lag/Performance for some Users I recommend adding an Option for GIFS that lets you:
1. Play Gifs on Hover
2. Disable Autoplay
3. Disable Completely [Experimental]
This could be Added for Gifs | Emotes | Graphics
This is simply to reduce Lag for Users with a Bad Computer/Slow Connection
Since this would definitely make some People time on here more Enjoyable
I tested this theory out by running my main browser (Brave) under 1 core. I spammed the SB whisper (don't ban this was a test on a banned user) and saw no significant spike in CPU usage or browser/site performance. Gifs by nature are already compressed, therefor, this won't affect users very much. If you're lagging on-site, it's not because of gifs, it'll be your computer specs, internet speeds, or other applications using your hardware.

It can't be my PC either though. Just hovering my mouse over a Thread Topic takes the site atleat 0.1-0.2s to register
