[Q] (URGENT) how to bypass gmail phone verification when you have the password?

So i have a password for a gmail account but i lost the phone that I used to have and cant remember the phone number.
I reaaly need the files inside this account so i can study . any help whould be appreciated 
ps: I can provide the account and the password to anyone who wish to help.

I've heard you can bypass it by logging into the account via "find my device" by google. I can't guarantee this works but it's worth a shot
