  If you still have Turbo Tax 2023 in your machine.

  Copy folders "xxi_23" in your year 2023 Turbo Tax folder "C:\Program Files\TurboTax\Individual 2023\Forms" to "C:\Program Files\TurboTax\Individual 2024\Forms", then rename the folder name to "xxi_24", will actually force Turbo Tax download your State Tax for free.

  xx is the abbreviation of your state name. For example, "nyi_23" is for NY State, copy to current Form folder, then rename it to "nyi_24".

  During the upgrade, all the content in "xxi_24" will get overwritten with up to date files.
