So usually I post leaks of girls but this time I wanted to present to you something a little different. Semi-educational and contains HQ entertainment. Hope you enjoy!
Today, you're able to watch the movie practically anywhere thanks to streaming. Current movies are produced with this intention and as a result, different files are created for the film. A big ass hard drive is sent out for Cinemas and then the studio scales the file down for critics and other pre-release screenings, and for home media/streaming. However, since this movie is ancient the process was a little different...
(The film would've come in something like this.)
(Another example)

and what has been done is what will be done,
※and there is nothing new under the sun.※

The movie was sent out in 35mm film reels, where it was the job of the projectionist to frame the movie. The above image is just for illustrative purposes the actual 35mm film sent to cinemas for spider-man 2 was already cropped. Thanks to this we can see that the appropriate aspect ratio for the film is 1.85 : 1.

Although there's picture in the entire frame, the director knew the film would be presented in 1.85: 1 and would allow for equipment such as microphones to be in shot. Since nobody is supposed to see that area of the frame and this provides better audio quality. The drawback is that if you went to a cinema with older projectors and had a piss poor projectionist that didn't frame the film correctly the film experience would be boom mic galore.
This is how reformatting for home video releases worked since the shape of your average TV back then was different. The film was cropped similarly to the red outline in the example above. This technique can be seen in the full-screen DVD release.

I hope y'all find this leak as fascinating as I did. This is my favorite film so I thought it was neat being able to enjoy it in a completely new way. And if anyone is feeling creative I'd love to see any fan edits.
