ok so its no secret sellpass.io the store hosting site uses "hoodpay.io" as their payment receiver (site u put your crypto adress and the money people buy your products with gets sent to you)
now we all know they are owning hoodpay but never admiting it but as of yesterday they came out like they "bought it"
im here making this deal dispute which might get me warned or whatever as i keep seeing people here in sb and more complaining about them over and over
examples from their discord server with huge lack of staff aka the scammers:
it is known for a while that hoodpay is known for "changing" peoples crypto adresses into theirs or something remotly like that and "steal" all of the money , now sellpass refuse to acknowledge this and it became a bigger issue now.
as of couple of days ago hoodpay dosent let you input your crypto adress as a payment method they ask for your "xpub" key which can later on be a huge risk for your money or wallet.
i know im making this report on nothing due to no account linked to it but i am doing this to atleast make the sellpass owner aka @Sellpass (TD) to change this way immediatly or make a new plan for people with a free plan on their site to use crypto as a payment plan.
tbh i left track of what i was writing but yes for short hoodpay aka sellpass is scamming their customers for - either pay for a subscription on sellpass so people will send u the crypto OR use "hoodpay" "not our site" which later on magically your crypto adress will change by no one and all of your products + customers money will dissapear
all im asking for staff is to investigate this matter because it become a bigger issue everyday.
@eariel, one of the main reasons for our acquisition of Hoodpay a few days ago was to mainly combat this specific issue, but considering how things are moving fast there are some things I'd like to address:
- We acquired their technology and assets a few days ago. We're working with their team on their unreleased processing infrastructure which would more than likely alleviate the initial onboarding issue.
- Instead of nitpicking posts from a community server, it'd be best to review the channel comments and follow the thread/conversations, you'll see that users can find their funds and recover them with enough effort. There's no reason to delete these conversations/threads when they are vital for new users to understand what to do if they can't access their funds without contacting their support team.
- Businesses that use Hoodpay when accepting cryptocurrency use the "extended public key" method and generate new addresses for every transaction (this is normal) to confirm payments (reduces lost or overlapping payments). For those who don't correctly set up their xpub keys, payments are still sent to their address but they're going to have to search for it and manually recover them.
Remember, not your keys, not your coins. We're expected to onboard a new support team to help guide users through this change, but rest assured Hoodpay nor Sellpass has access to any funds, even if they're lost via an incorrect public key.
WHEN YOU SWITCH TO SELLPASS, WE'LL MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE.
If you're currently selling digital products on another platform (Shopify, WooCommerce, Sellix, Custom, etc), you'll receive a welcome bonus upon registering and transferring your store over. The bonus is based on your processing volume, customer base, and the specific category/industry you target.
Feel free to reach out to me directly on this forum to get started.

ill try to adress this 1 by 1
ok so
1. you say "nitpicking" but from their server , my own experiecence + people from this server with heaven + who have experience have the same issue at me
+ new issue in the last days when you cant use normal adress it only lets you use xpub key which not all wallets let you find or use freely.
2. from what i see and most likely everyone else i dont think there is a possile way to get "lost" funds due to hoodpay settings by own user seeing the - for example "bitcoin adress-x" change to someone elses just like you cant access someone elses wallet and take their money.
3. u say "see other threads" the screenshots ive provided are the what you call "recent" ones in their discord u can see months of threads there being ignored by staff + when u say "there is no reason to delete this conversations" if you mean the one i marked with red line is because it dosent meet what im trying to show here it was a random question on a different topic.
i keep losing track of what im writing because im trully pissed here. not only i cant change my hoodpay crypto adress to a new one (even tried on a brand new account) they give you the option for xpub which is not permitted on all wallets.
they are stealing money from other people without giving them the chance of this type of support.
look at this in a different way
me: eariel 2 likes to my name and a white name.
this thread wouldve been deleted 2 minutes after created.
but i do have this type of stage as of now to atleast try and disolve this type of stuff.
i wish you goodluck on your "hoodpay" purchase transition or whatever but atleast come forward saying this mistakes are real without saying u can "resolve" or " access lost funds" because we all know its not true.

You'll have to bear with me, responding to a thread about a company we purchased a few days ago at nearly 2 AM on a Sunday on this forum was not on my bingo card.
The bulk of these issues are not tied to their platform or their operations, it's the lack of understanding most users have. That's entirely understandable. For example, if you wanted to host your site on an AWS server, but don't know how and attempt to go at it yourself, do you attack the entire AWS company because their products don't work? As previously noted, we're already working with their team on fast-tracking their unreleased processing technology to our customers.
However, I don't see why you keep pushing the narrative that it isn't possible to recover lost funds via an extended public key, it is possible and their team has shared these steps with wallets like Electrum, etc. I'd recommend you read this article they've written up regarding this: https://support.hoodpay.io/en/articles/8...public-key. They also have a detailed video on how to set up extended public keys to prevent any potential lost funds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVzpFThqAWs.
Their team deprecated the "direct to address" method because that system wasn't scalable (i.e if customers don't send the exact required payment within 30 minutes, the payment fails) BUT the funds are still sent, this is the same scenario with extended public keys, just that payments don't have to be the exact required amount (it can be slightly above, slightly lower, etc and it'll still be processed).
WHEN YOU SWITCH TO SELLPASS, WE'LL MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE.

from my pov and personal experience to me and both people in different forums and on here is that this issue is like this for a long time and alot of reports were to you, a site which uses hoodpay.
you say "
However, I don't see why you keep pushing the narrative that it isn't possible to recover lost funds via an extended public key,"
why dont you see the problem with them magically having people's crypto adresses changed to a new ones and payments being sent to random people?
tbh there is really nothing else to say this problem is going on like this for months and from my understanding from even talking to staff in sb and the likes of it they are aware of it aswell..
i use your site because its convenient to me atm and i cant find a better solutioun but i am thinking to switch because this hoodpay mess and my new wallet which is not receiving new money + its on mobile which most are due to rats on pc etc.
i cannot get my xpub key or whatever youre looking for but i do see this problem with xpub key, on sellpass it accepts orders , send products to customers , owner dontget money + money gets sent to no one knows where.
also instead of all of this why noit add hoodpay as an option to a better one when they input their crypto adresses manually into your site?
why use a third party that made all of this mess before.
and if u do choose to keep it atleast add an option for people to use it freely. not paid
just as ive stated before
either pay to use own address
or use a third party that might steal your money.
both ways youre losing some money here with or without having big audiance in your store aka traffic.

I understand where you're coming from, and while these issues may seem trivial at first, nothing goes unnoticed.
As you're aware, we've been heads down building version three for the better part of the past year and are prepping for its eventual release, where we'll be prioritizing in-house crypto processing infrastructure (the entire point of that acquisition. Their team has a far better understanding of this and will help us launch a more refined product) versus our customers facing the same challenges over and over again.
You also have to understand that crypto addresses will and do change for every new transaction (this is the same across every payment platform such as Coinbase Commerce, CoinPayments, etc), it isn't just secluded to Hoodpay.
To recap, funds that are potentially lost via extended public keys can be recovered and shouldn't be the main point being contested here, mostly due to the freely available documentation I've listed above. If you've lost funds as a direct result of an error on Hoodpay's end after our acquisition, please message me on this forum and I'll see what I can do to clear things up.
WHEN YOU SWITCH TO SELLPASS, WE'LL MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE.

you kinda lost me in the middle here.
when i say adresses changed, i talk about their normal adresses, no xpub key used at alllllllllllllll
hoodpay has 2 options of crypto
set normal key OR set xpub key
people who use normal adress for example on my hoodpay there is no xpub there is "bc1q8d5n22mw695jcej2q3alwh0j7yjev2sfv3ugq9"
this adresses changed for other people and when they noticed it , it was when they checked their wallet with new confirmed orderes and saw they didnt receive any money
open hoodpay then saw their normal crypto adress was changed to a random one without their approval and them losing pottential money + products.
