so due to the current war between cracked.to and romania there's been some shit going down in sb
first suggestion is automatically detect when a user is sending x amount of messages within a certain amount of time (spam detection)
if spam is detected, simply temp mute the user for 30 minutes, an hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, then 24 hours
after and if you break all the temp mutes, perm mute the user (as well as allow the user to appeal it) < just incase its not intentionally trying to fuck up shoutbox
just a little thought of mine
also adding on what @ExpressCoder said, only allow chatbox to people with a certain amount of likes / threads and or if that user is upgraded, since majority of the people talking in the shoutbox is upgraded, 90% of non upgraded users are only in shoutbox to beg for accounts / proxies / upgrades.
