Supreme Germany ready to let Poland send Leopard tanks to Ukraine

In response to these pleas, Poland has offered to supply Ukraine with some of its German-made Leopard tanks. In order for this to happen, Berlin would have to approve the transfer of the tanks. On Sunday, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said that her country would not stand in the way if Poland were to make such a request. This comes after increasing pressure from Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in recent days. Despite this, it is still unclear if Germany would be willing to send its own Leopard tanks to Ukraine as part of a larger coalition with other countries. When pressed on the issue, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz avoided giving a clear answer, instead stressing that Germany has never stopped supporting Ukraine with weapon deliveries.
