Garcia facilitated these operations by providing bank accounts to receive fraudulent funds, which he then converted to Bitcoin and transferred to accomplices in Nigeria. He admitted to laundering over $2.3 million and was ordered to forfeit nearly $465,000. Although Garcia has been convicted, four other individuals involved in the scheme are still at large.
