Whilst watching Squid Game episode 7 "VIPs" I noticed some similarities between Squid Game and Hostel, specifically Hostel part 3.
Similarities include:
Rich people watching people get murdered
Rich people making bets on how people die/beg for their lives
Rich people watching people get murdered behind a glass screen
Events happening in first world countries (USA, South Korea)

I love Squid Game as well as the Hostel movies (Hostel I (2005) and Hostel II (2007) more than Hostel III (2011))
What do you think? Did the Squid Game writer gain inspiration from these movies or is it a coincidence?
