Supreme Woman pleads guilty to stealing $1 million lottery prize from her cousin

A 34-year-old Texas woman is facing up to four years in prison after pleading guilty to stealing her cousin's $1 million lottery prize. In November 2020, Iris Amador Argueta stole a winning scratch-off ticket from her cousin and cashed it in for over $500,000, lying to her cousin and forging documents to say she only won $20,000. After the victim saw a press release announcing Argueta as the winner, she was arrested in Texas and forfeited her winnings, which were returned to her cousin. Argueta will be sentenced on March 15.
