A defendant in a large-scale fraud case, the head of NIO-3 of JSC Concern Avtomatika, Alexander Nesterov, admitted guilt and, at the request of the investigation, was released from the pre-trial detention center under house arrest.
Earlier, the Moscow City Court transferred the second defendant in the case, the general director of the Avtomatika concern, Andrei Motorko, to house arrest.
Nesterov was also in the pre-trial detention center on charges under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale). According to media reports, in the fall of 2021, the Avtomatika concern acquired a development for disclosing the owners of anonymous Telegram channels, calling it "Hunter". According to information from open sources, "Hunter" can identify names, nicknames, contacts and other data when analyzing instant messengers, the darknet and blockchains. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the fact of fraud in Avtomatika against unidentified persons.
The investigation believes that the concern passed off antenna systems as its development for transport, purchased in China. However, for these purposes the concern received a subsidy of 300 million rubles. In connection with the initiation of a criminal case, searches were conducted in Avtomatika on the same day.
