As pointed out by another forum member, hacking is neither inherently good or bad. It is an activity. It is not the act itself but various factors related to the act, and who is interpreting that act that will determine whether the act is perceived to be good or bad.
That said, a distinction has been made between ethical hacking and unethical or criminal hacking.
What do you think determines whether a person will engage in ethical hacking or unethical/criminal hacking?
