It would be cool if some staff members host these from time to time with awards/credits as prize for the first 1-2 teams.

Perhaps games like LoL, Dota2, CS:GO etc. would be a good start and will keep many people engaged.

Would that be something anyone is interested in?

When I was tmod I said to people if I made it to mod I would host gaming tournaments maybe with prize pools and shit. I didn't make it that far though but it would be something cool to see.
