I like to just use tor instead of a VPN. Come to think about it, is there any cons to using tor for general browsing instead of a VPN?

I like to just use tor instead of a VPN. Come to think about it, is there any cons to using tor for general browsing instead of a VPN?

I have seen a lot of comments saying that Tor alone is not that safe as it was before.
